Welcome to episode #190!. John Hiebert is a production manager with the Calgary folk fest. But before that, John was the lead singer and guitar player for Calgary’s “Field day” and a staple in the Calgary punk rock scene. John and I first met in the early 90’s when out two bands played together. John has always been a good soul and a great ambassador for punk and indie music. In the show we get caught up with each others doings. We told some old stories and reminisced about what is was like back-in-the-day. John also made it very clear that he doesn’t like to live in the past, for which I agree with him. He did also say that who we were is an anchor to what we’ve become and who we are as grown ups. A great conversation and a long time coming!
