#111 Jason King

Jason King started promoting shows in Oshawa Ontario when he was 15 years old. He’s responsible for some pretty important moments in music for the punk rock scene in his town. Oshawa’s distance from Toronto was just far enough to allow a touring band to pick up a show the day before or after the big city. That’s what made Oshawa a viable option. There is still a strong scene in “the Shwa” and part of that is because of Jason’s early input. Jason also opened one of Oshawa’s first skateboard shops called “Alcatraz” and ran it well until the big mall stores opened up. A good hang and a good guy! thanks Jason!
