Epi 67 Graeme Philliskirk

Graeme Philliskirk hails from Sunderland UK and was the bass player in the band “Leatherface”. Leatherface had some success in the 90’s and is a major influence to bands like “Hot Water Music”. After a few reunions and tours, Leatherface called it quits. Graeme and guitar player Dickie Hammond started writing new songs. They joined forces with Hugo Mudie and other members of the Montreal based band “The Sainte Catherines”. They recorded an album under the name “Medictation”. After the death of Dickie Hammond in November of 2015, the future was uncertain for “Medictation”. The surviving members decided to release the album as a tribute to Dickie and the songs he contributed to the project.

In the Podcast we talk about life in England, the new band and the fun & challenges of a cross-atlantic recording project.
