#186 “Three Chords… One Capo” 15 years later Part 1

It was 15 years ago when my band Four Square started recording this album Three Chords… One capo in a rehearsal space in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. My studio was known for recording on location and getting pretty good results. This album was a scary project because it was what I thought to be the real deal. People we didn’t know were investing money into this little band from Canada and things were moving so fast. It was my first time recording on a computer. My wife was expecting our first child at any moment during the recording process. Our studio space had to be moved to another location because our landlords were being evicted. There were countless interruptions from other bands making noise, too much beer being consumed and broken gear. But the album did come out in the fall of 2003 to some very positive reviews. It was our second full length release and our best work to date. So happy to get the core members Allan Shaw and Jason Lioumanis to sit down and talk about the process, the fun and tears putting this album together.
